How we estimate it
People who message a business usually message two or three at once, and most go with whoever answers first. Research published in Harvard Business Review, based on more than a million inbound leads, found that companies replying within an hour were about seven times more likely to qualify a lead than those who waited longer, and over sixty times more likely than those who waited a day.
We use much more cautious numbers than that. The calculator assumes an enquiry answered within five minutes is as likely as possible to become a customer, and gives slower replies a lower chance:
Enquiries outside working hours count as next day replies unless you tick that you already cover nights and weekends. To keep it realistic, the estimate never assumes more than double your current customers. It is an estimate to help you decide, not a promise of results.
It gives a cautious estimate based on your own numbers and published research on reply speed. Every business is different, so treat the result as a guide. The quickest way to know for sure is to measure your own reply times for a week.
Look at your last 20 WhatsApp enquiries from new customers and note how long each waited for a real reply. Include the ones that came in at night. Most owners find the real number is slower than they expected.
A WhatsApp AI agent answers every message in seconds, day and night, in Arabic, English and other languages. It answers common questions, takes bookings and orders, and passes the conversation to your team when a person is needed.
No. Enquiries from Google Maps, Instagram, your website, referrals and regular customers are lost the same way when nobody replies in time. If you also run ads, slow replies make every lead you pay for more expensive.
